Are you ready to use your technical expertise to help solve one of the most pressing social issues of our time? At Project Healthy Minds, we are a mental health tech non-profit startup dedicated to making mental health support as accessible as booking a flight. We are building the world’s first digital marketplace for mental health services, and we are looking for a passionate engineer to help us scale this vision. By joining us, you will work alongside a diverse group of business leaders, clinicians, and innovators who are all committed to creating meaningful social change.
What you bring
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team in New York City on a full-time basis. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment and have a track record of helping early-stage companies grow. Your work will involve utilizing Python, Node.js, React.js, AngularJS, Backbone.js, SQL, NoSQL, and AWS to build a robust and scalable platform. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Leading the product development for our user-facing web application, including both incremental improvements and the creation of entirely new features.
- Shaping our engineering culture and practices, which includes hiring additional talent and managing external contractors.
- Refining our existing technical architecture, with a specific focus on data engineering and system scalability.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience. We are looking for someone with 5 to 7 years of programming experience who has a deep understanding of backend development and modern frontend frameworks. You should be comfortable managing cloud infrastructure, designing database schemas, and implementing CI/CD pipelines. Beyond your technical skills, you must be a strong communicator who can explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. We value candidates who are collaborative, excellent problem solvers, and genuinely passionate about improving mental health outcomes.
What we offer
We provide a competitive annual salary ranging from $150,000 to $215,000, depending on your specific experience and qualifications. In addition to a rewarding mission, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance.
- Generous paid time off and paid holidays.
- Commuter benefits.
- A dedicated learning budget for your professional development.
- The flexibility of remote work options.
How to Apply
If you are excited about the prospect of using technology to reshape the mental health landscape, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to be considered for our team. We look forward to reviewing your background and potentially discussing how your skills can help us achieve our mission.
