What you bring

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in the United States. In this role, you will be at the heart of our platform, working across the entire stack to build tools that empower our users. You will be part of a team that values technology, software engineering, and frontend development using tools like TypeScript, React, Node, and Postgres. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining the core Substack product for our global community of writers and readers.
• Collaborating closely with designers, product thinkers, and support staff to guide features from initial concept through to final deployment.
• Engaging directly with our customers to solve real-world problems and build deep empathy for the people who use our platform every day.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least six years of professional experience in frontend or full-stack development using TypeScript and React.js. We value candidates who hold a degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent industry experience. Because we are a small and agile team, we look for individuals who are independent, autonomous, and take full ownership of their work. You should be someone who takes pride in building elegant, delightful experiences and is eager to collaborate with a diverse group of people. What we offer

We are committed to providing a rewarding compensation package that reflects your expertise and contributions. The cash salary range for this position is $175,000 to $215,000. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer equity for all full-time team members and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth.
