Full Stack Engineer at accesso

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a Full Time position. In this role, you will work on the accesso Horizon ticketing and visitor management system, which is a powerful, global platform designed for robust scaling. You will collaborate with a highly experienced engineering team to manage the full lifecycle of our services, ensuring our technology continues to provide seamless experiences for guests and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full lifecycle of services, including deployment and ongoing operation in production environments.
• Maintain existing software code to ensure it meets the same high standards as our new feature implementations.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to assist with system upgrades, training, implementation, and alpha testing of new code.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, though we encourage you to apply if your skills align with our needs regardless of your exact time in the industry.
• Strong proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented languages, along with experience in JSP technologies.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL, including the ability to write complex queries.
• A solid understanding of cloud computing methodologies, such as scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance.
• Familiarity with XML, JSON, and writing unit tests for Java applications.
• Experience working within Scrum practices and the ability to operate effectively both in a team and independently.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is considered a plus.

Location

This position is based in Milan, Italy. We operate with a hybrid work model, requiring you to be in the office for most of the week while offering the flexibility to work from home for 1 to 2 days.
