Full Stack Engineer at AnyRoad

Our unified platform connects essential back-end operations like booking, ticketing, and payments with advanced analytics and consumer feedback tools. By joining our team, you will help some of the world's largest brands scale their event operations and maximize their return on investment. We are currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Experience Platform team in the United States. This position requires you to work from our San Francisco office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Key outcomes

• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to plan, estimate, and gather requirements for new features.
• Design and implement robust business logic using Ruby on Rails and relational data stores.
• Develop and maintain efficient APIs to support our web user interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable code while upholding high standards for test coverage and system performance.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including system design, code reviews, incident rotation, and production releases.
• Contribute to our engineering culture by sharing innovative ideas and documenting technical system architectures.
• Enhance core platform components, such as our pricing engine, notification systems, and global payment integrations.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in designing, building, and deploying web applications at scale.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and React, or a comparable combination of backend and frontend technologies.
• Deep understanding of modern backend architecture, including well-designed APIs, data structures, and efficient algorithms.
• Significant experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems such as DynamoDB and Redis.
• Proficiency in using monitoring and telemetry tools to assess and prioritize application issues.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, inclusive approach to teamwork.
• Ability to provide technical guidance on strategic initiatives and champion coding best practices.
• Current authorization to work in the United States, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.

Preferred qualifications

• A degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Prior experience with high-throughput transactional systems, payment processing, or DevOps practices.
