At Fried Frank, we build and maintain the applications that help attorneys and business teams work more effectively every day. Our Application Development and Analytics group creates custom tools on the Microsoft stack, supports critical third-party systems, and keeps a firm-wide portfolio of solutions running smoothly for hundreds of users across practice groups and administrative departments.
The role
We are hiring a Lead Full Stack Developer to join the Application Development and Analytics team on a full-time, hybrid basis. The position calls for regular in-office attendance three days each week and reports to the IT Manager of Application Development. You will lead solution design, guide junior developers, and deliver production-ready applications that meet the evolving needs of a large law firm.
Core responsibilities
- Work directly with attorneys and business-services staff to analyze requirements, propose solutions built on .NET, SQL, and SharePoint, and deliver those solutions on schedule while communicating any risks to timelines.
- Design, code, test, document, and roll out new applications or enhancements, coordinating testing, data migration, security, training, and post-launch support with operations, networking, and end users.
- Maintain and modernize existing applications, evaluate their ongoing value, implement fixes or upgrades during off-hours when needed, and keep internal documentation and the IT Resources site current for the entire development team.
Skills and experience
You hold a BA or BS in Computer Science or a related field, or possess equivalent professional experience, along with at least four years of hands-on needs analysis and web-application development. Strong skills in ASP.NET (VB.NET preferred), C#, MS SQL Server, IIS, and Windows environments are required, as is practical experience integrating third-party APIs and SDKs, including RESTful services and GraphQL. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, Microsoft SharePoint, Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI is highly valued. Excellent verbal and written communication, the ability to work independently across multiple concurrent projects, and a solid grasp of client-server architecture, object-oriented design, and relational databases complete the profile. Experience with ASP.NET Core, HTML5 frameworks such as Angular or React, Telerik components, and SOAP APIs is a plus.
Compensation and benefits
The salary range for this position is $130,000–$150,000 USD. We also offer hybrid work arrangements that balance collaboration in the office with flexibility from home.
How to apply
If you are ready to apply your full-stack expertise to meaningful internal tools that directly support legal and business operations, we encourage you to submit your application.
