Frontend Software Engineer at Nominal

Key outcomes

• Architect and implement end-to-end features and tooling, ensuring high performance and a delightful user experience.
• Develop complex visualizations and powerful editor-like interfaces that push the boundaries of front-end technology.
• Design and maintain scalable APIs using tRPC to facilitate a seamless user experience while managing massive datasets.
• Contribute to the growth of our engineering organization by actively participating in the sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of new team members.

Requirements

• Proven experience in developing complex software products, particularly those involving time-series visualization or tools for engineers.
• A deep commitment to building intuitive, beautiful, and highly responsive user interfaces with meticulous attention to detail.
• A proactive mindset, with the desire to help shape our product roadmap and contribute your own perspective on what we build and why.
• Enthusiasm for joining a foundational team that is building software to amplify the work of world-class hardware engineers.
• A willingness to travel occasionally to work directly with our end-users at locations such as rocket test stands, clean rooms, and manufacturing facilities.
• Proficiency in our core technology stack, including TypeScript, Next.js, React, Tailwind, tRPC, and WebGL.
• Experience working with UI libraries, as we maintain a custom library built on top of Radix UI to support our specific use cases.
• Fluency in English.
