The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Front-end Engineering Manager to lead our front-end development team in delivering exceptional user interfaces and experiences. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for building responsive and visually compelling web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in front-end development and a proven ability to manage and mentor teams to achieve high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

Manage, mentor, and grow a team of front-end developers.

Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team culture.

Oversee the design and implementation of front-end architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.

Ensure code quality, scalability, and security through best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and designers, to define and deliver project requirements.

Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful delivery.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Identify opportunities to optimize existing systems and processes.

Lead initiatives to improve development workflows, tools, and methodologies.

Contribute to the codebase as time allows (20% to 40%) of your time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to manage team dynamics and collaborate with stakeholders.

Proven experience as a front-end developer, with at least 4 years in a developer role and 2 years in a management role.

Demonstrated success in collaborating with small to medium-sized engineering teams to maximize their performance and productivity.

Expertise in modern front-end frameworks and libraries (particularly React on the Next.js framework).

Strong proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX, or Vuex).

Familiarity with modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite, or Parcel) and CI/CD pipelines.

Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
