At Ambrook, we are on a mission to help farmers achieve greater profitability while promoting environmental sustainability. We believe that better soil health and climate resilience naturally lead to lower costs and increased yields. To support this, we are streamlining the complex back office paperwork and financial management that farmers face daily. As a Series A startup backed by investors like Thrive Capital and BoxGroup, we are expanding our founding team and looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join us in a full-time, hybrid capacity. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical direction and building software that makes a real difference in agriculture and other natural resource industries.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of delivering beautiful, high-performance product experiences that delight our users.
- Mentor the team by sharing best practices in componentization, performance optimization, and modern frontend development.
- Enhance our development velocity by refining existing component APIs and creating cleaner layers of abstraction across our codebase.
Requirements
We are looking for a seasoned engineer who is passionate about our mission and comfortable navigating complex, ambiguous problems. You should have a strong technical foundation and a desire to build elegant solutions for our users.
- At least four years of professional experience delivering high-quality, performant web applications to production.
- Advanced coding skills with a deep understanding of data structures and asynchronous programming.
- Fluency in our core stack, which includes TypeScript, React, Next.js, and React Native for cross-platform mobile development.
- Experience working within the Google Cloud ecosystem, specifically with Firestore, Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Data Studio.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively alongside design and product teams.
- Bonus points if you have prior experience in the agriculture sector or building financial technology products.
