The role
We are hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to join us full time in a fully remote capacity. In this position you will extend and maintain both customer-facing tools and internal administration interfaces while collaborating closely with our cloud, planning, vision, and algorithm teams.
Core responsibilities
- Design and develop highly performant visual tools that enable statistical and spatial analysis of large datasets.
- Partner with engineering teams across disciplines to translate complex visualization requirements into practical, maintainable features.
- Lead by example through thoughtful technical contributions, clear communication, and active knowledge sharing with teammates.
Skills and experience
We are looking for candidates who bring at least five years of professional software engineering experience along with strong proficiency in TypeScript, CSS, and React. You should have a methodical approach to unit and integration testing and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills when working with large datasets. Excellent communication, a positive outlook, and genuine empathy are essential. Experience with mapping libraries such as Mapbox GL or Deck GL, data-visualization tools such as D3.js or Plotly.js, and familiarity with Python are all advantageous but not required. All work is conducted in English.
