Frontend Engineer at Clerkie

At Clerkie, we are on a mission to help Americans navigate the crushing weight of the national debt crisis. Since our launch in 2018, we have been building innovative tools that help borrowers manage their financial situations, improve their credit scores, and negotiate outstanding debts. With significant backing from major financial institutions like Citi and Wellington Ventures, our team of nearly 30 professionals is working to rethink the financial journey for families across the country. The role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Frontend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the United States. In this role, you will play a key part in developing Fiber, our advanced CRM platform that is set to transform the debt industry. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a growing startup.

Core responsibilities

• Work closely with our product, design, and backend teams to build and launch the Clerkie Fiber platform.
• Write clean, efficient code using TypeScript and Next.js.
• Design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces using Tailwind CSS while maintaining a sharp focus on the overall user experience.

Skills and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with React.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• A self-starting attitude with the ability to manage your own priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs is preferred, and a background in financial technology is a plus.
• You must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.

Compensation and benefits

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000 per year, plus equity compensation. Our benefits package includes:
