Latch was established in New York City ten years ago with a mission to improve how people interact with their environments through innovative hardware and software. Having surpassed 100 million unlocks, we are now focused on building a unified platform that connects spaces, services, and experiences to make life more efficient and enjoyable. Following our recent acquisition of Honest Day’s Work and under the leadership of CEO Jamie Siminoff, we are continuing to redefine residential ecosystems. We are currently looking for a Frontend Engineer to join us for a temporary project lasting two to three months. This remote role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our product experience while working with a global, diverse team.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, efficient frontend applications while following industry best practices.
- Collaborate with our UI and UX design teams to translate concepts into functional, visually engaging web interfaces.
- Work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver seamless, end-to-end solutions for our users.
Requirements
We are looking for a mid-level professional who is comfortable navigating uncertainty and solving complex problems. While we do not expect you to meet every single point, the following are important to our team:
- Three to five years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience working with Angular and JSX.
- Familiarity with CSS pre-processors like SASS and build systems such as Webpack, esbuild, Parcel, or Rollup.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, as we rely heavily on asynchronous written communication across our global team.
- The ability to work remotely with at least four hours of overlap with Eastern Time (UTC-4).
What we offer
Joining our team means you will collaborate with colleagues across the globe, including team members in the United States, Argentina, Mexico, Italy, Uruguay, Portugal, and Spain. We offer a fast-paced environment where you are encouraged to innovate and think creatively. Remote work is a core part of our culture, and we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace for everyone.
