About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and deploying our frontend applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to set technical standards, improve development processes, and ensure our products meet the highest quality benchmarks. This position is ideal for a lead-level engineer who enjoys both deep technical research and advocating for best practices within an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop complex, interactive user interfaces using React while ensuring code quality and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define technology roadmaps and build consensus on technical solutions.
• Mentor team members and advocate for engineering best practices to improve our overall development lifecycle and system reliability.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a technical lead or staff position.
• Hands-on expertise in building responsive web applications with modern frameworks like React.
• Experience working with secure, scalable micro-services using Python, Node.js, or similar languages.
• Proven ability to design and consume well-documented, ergonomic APIs for web and mobile platforms.
• Experience launching and supporting large-scale B2B or B2C SaaS products.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on collaboration, mentorship, and rapid iteration.

Location

This is a remote position based in British Columbia, Canada, with the requirement for occasional travel to our Victoria office or our Los Angeles headquarters.

Compensation and Benefits
