What is this role?

We are searching for a Lead Front End Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is a senior-level position designed for someone who wants to take ownership of our front-end architecture while helping to shape the culture of our engineering department.

What will you do?

• You will drive product development at Candid Health, ensuring that our application remains intuitive, performant, and consistent across every page and component.
• You will work directly with our customers to understand their most pressing challenges, translating those insights into creative and effective technical solutions.
• You will take charge of our front-end tooling and infrastructure, including profiling, monitoring, and optimizing our development operations to keep our team moving fast.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for building high-quality user experiences. We value candidates who possess the following:

• A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, combined with at least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep technical proficiency in HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, and API development.
• Experience with modern tools such as Server Side Rendering, GraphQL, Tailwind, and Firebase.
• A customer-first mindset and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A balanced approach to development, where you take pride in your craft while maintaining the pragmatism to know when a solution is ready for production.
