We are looking for a talented Front End Engineer to join our team in a hybrid capacity at one of our hubs in San Francisco, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Nashville, or Philadelphia. Key outcomes

• Lead the full software development lifecycle for a large-scale, consumer-facing application, including architecture, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Partner with designers and product owners to transform wireframes and user needs into robust technical requirements.
• Develop high-quality web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Create and maintain reusable components for our custom library and support Server-Driven UI (SDUI) initiatives.
• Integrate front end applications with back end APIs using gRPC, Twirp, and Protobuf.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, Behavior Driven Development, and thorough code reviews.
• Provide technical mentorship to team members and document key architectural decisions.
• Maintain high standards for data security to ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage actively in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience or certifications.
• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with React and TypeScript.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across product, engineering, and QA teams.
• Proficiency with modern version control systems like Git.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience working within a startup environment.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards such as HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA.
• Technical proficiency with Protobuf, gRPC, or Twirp.
• AWS certifications.
• Experience managing infrastructure as code using the Serverless Framework.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $114,750 to $155,250. Final compensation is determined based on factors such as your specific experience and geographic location. In addition to base pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including:
