We are currently seeking a talented Senior Front-End Engineer to help us design the intelligent systems that will power a more resilient future.
Key outcomes
- Lead the architectural direction of our front-end ecosystem, ensuring our applications are scalable, performant, and capable of handling complex data.
- Collaborate across teams to translate intricate domain requirements into elegant user interfaces that empower both internal users and external partners.
- Drive strategic initiatives that improve our development processes and technical alignment across the organization.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence, high-quality code, and continuous professional growth.
- Navigate ambiguous problem spaces to deliver cohesive, data-intensive software solutions.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for clean energy and a commitment to addressing climate change.
- Extensive experience in front-end or full-stack engineering, with a proven ability to own complex, data-heavy architectures using React and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in performance optimization and designing strategies for visualizing large, intricate datasets.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively alongside product managers, designers, and data scientists.
- Experience with modern testing frameworks, such as Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Familiarity with AI-augmented development tools and a solid understanding of enterprise-level security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, essential for thriving in our remote-first environment across time zones in the Americas and Europe.
- Proven success in elevating team performance through mentorship and the establishment of best practices.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience within the energy or power systems sector.
- Proficiency in Python, particularly with FastAPI and visualization libraries like Plotly.
- Experience with authentication services like Auth0.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Sentry, Grafana, Honeycomb, or Prometheus.
- Experience building on AWS and working with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- An advanced degree in computer science.
