Front-End Engineer at Portcast

The opportunity

We are seeking a Front-End Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this role, you will be the bridge between our complex data analytics and our users. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to craft intuitive, responsive, and beautiful interfaces for our web applications. This is a chance to shape the user experience of a platform that is actively digitizing the logistics industry, and you will play a key role in ensuring our products are as easy to use as they are powerful.

A day in the life

• You will translate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality, responsive web interfaces while maintaining clean and well-documented code.
• You will collaborate with our product designers and back-end engineers to integrate APIs and ensure that our front-end components are seamless and reusable.
• You will conduct user testing and gather feedback to continuously refine our UI and UX, ensuring our platform remains a top-tier tool for our customers.

Who you are

You are a proactive engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience, specifically with a strong focus on UI/UX design. You thrive in fast-paced startup environments and have a track record of helping build technical products from the ground up. You are comfortable working independently and are an empathetic communicator who values diverse perspectives.

Your technical toolkit should include:

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proven experience with ReactJS, VueJS, or NextJS, with a strong preference for NuxtJS.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS.
• A deep understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience working with back-end technologies and API integrations.
• Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with our global team.
