Front-End Developer at Prevail

What you bring

We are looking for a Mid-Level Front-End Developer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. You will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer as you help us build and refine our interface. Your work will involve utilizing your expertise in Engineering, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create seamless user experiences. Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Translating design mockups from tools like Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, and InVision into pixel-perfect, interactive web views.
• Maintaining high standards for documentation and creating clear, effective pull requests.
• Collaborating with our engineering team to integrate front-end components with our Rails backend.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have at least two years of experience in front-end development using dynamic languages. We value candidates who have a strong grasp of vanilla ES6, HTML, and CSS. While not strictly required, experience with Rails, Bootstrap, Postgres, and cloud environments like AWS or Heroku is highly preferred. We are looking for a self-starter who communicates clearly and maintains a positive attitude. You should be comfortable working within a small team and have a dedicated, quiet space to work from home. Please note that we are only able to hire US Citizens for this position and cannot offer H1B visa support. Proficiency in English is required.
