We are Prevail Legal, a well-funded startup founded in San Francisco with team members located across the country. Our platform brings together secure video conferencing and purpose-built tools that support remote, in-person, and hybrid legal proceedings, helping modernize court reporting, testimony management, trial preparation, and the use of video evidence. We are looking for a Mid-Level Front-End Developer to join us on a full-time, remote basis and contribute to the continued growth of this first-of-its-kind legal technology.
Responsibilities
- Translate design mockups from Photoshop, InVision, Figma, or Sketch into pixel-perfect, interactive web interfaces.
- Build and maintain responsive front-end features using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript (ES6) within a Rails application.
- Write clear documentation, create well-structured pull requests, and collaborate with the engineering team to deliver reliable code.
Requirements
- At least two years of professional front-end development experience with a dynamic language such as JavaScript.
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript (ES6) and the ability to deliver production-ready interfaces.
- Experience taking design files from tools like Photoshop, InVision, Figma, or Sketch and turning them into fully functional views.
- Solid skills in writing documentation and preparing clear pull requests.
- Preferred: two or more years of Rails front-end experience, one or more years working with Bootstrap, and one or more years using Postgres.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Heroku, CircleCI, or DNS management is a plus.
- Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and experience working in small teams.
- Ability to maintain a quiet, professional workspace for remote work.
