We are currently looking for a Senior Freight Broker to join our team in Canada. As a company deeply embedded in the logistics sector, we pride ourselves on connecting businesses with reliable transport solutions across North America. In this full-time, on-site role, you will act as a vital link between our sales and operations departments. You will report directly to the General Manager, ensuring that our freight services remain competitive and efficient while meeting the strategic objectives of our organization.
Key outcomes
- Provide accurate and competitive shipping quotes for both new and current clients.
- Negotiate favorable spot rates for LTL and Truckload shipments with our network of carriers and vendors.
- Build and nurture strong, professional relationships with all customers and carrier partners.
- Collaborate closely with our sales team to help expand our client base.
- Ensure that all margin targets established by the Operations Manager are consistently met.
- Achieve the specific sales and quoting benchmarks defined by the General Manager.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in the North American over the road trucking market, including LTL, Truckload, dry van, flatbed, intermodal, and temperature-controlled freight.
- Strong proficiency in advanced negotiation techniques.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sales cycles, including prospecting, closing, and long-term relationship management.
- Technical competence in MS Office, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Practical experience using dispatch management software such as Tailwind, TMW, or Axion.
- A professional demeanor characterized by a goal-oriented mindset, self-motivation, and a commitment to high-quality customer service.
- Fluency in English.
