The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us as an independent contractor. This is a remote role designed for a self-motivated professional who thrives on autonomy. You will take the lead on technical design and development for our software projects, working from the initial concept all the way through to final delivery. In this position, you will act as a key contributor, collaborating with our engineering teams to build and maintain high-quality applications that meet our rigorous standards. You will be responsible for managing your own workflows and tools, providing a high level of expertise to help us refine our technical requirements and security protocols.

A day in the life

• You will architect, develop, and maintain robust software solutions, ensuring every piece of code aligns with our project goals and quality expectations.
• You will act as a technical mentor and advisor, conducting thorough code reviews and offering guidance to help our engineering teams adopt best practices.
• You will research emerging technologies and work directly with stakeholders to troubleshoot complex issues, ensuring our systems remain efficient and scalable.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with at least six years of experience in software development, including five years specifically working with React and Node.js. You possess a deep understanding of the full development lifecycle and are comfortable working in Agile environments. Because we work with international teams and clients, fluency in both English and Spanish is essential for this role. You are a strong communicator who can translate technical requirements into actionable solutions, and you are comfortable using tools like GitHub to manage your work. You hold a degree in computer science or have equivalent professional experience that has prepared you to hit the ground running.
