The role
We are seeking a Senior Localization Specialist to join our team on a freelance, contractor basis. This is a remote role available to candidates anywhere. You will play a vital role in adapting our products and marketing campaigns to ensure they feel local and authentic to our diverse international audience.
Core responsibilities
- Translate, review, and edit a wide range of content, including marketing materials, SEO copy, newsletters, and product assets, to ensure they are perfectly tailored for your target market.
- Maintain and improve our linguistic resources, such as glossaries and style guides, while performing quality assurance and functionality checks to guarantee a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with our team on creative projects, utilizing your expertise to ensure that every message we send resonates with local cultural nuances.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong command of English alongside your native language proficiency. We are looking for someone who brings the following qualifications:
- Proven professional experience in website and app localization, translation, and copywriting.
- Hands-on experience working with Translation Management Systems.
- A solid background in SEO best practices and linguistic quality assurance.
- An academic or professional foundation in linguistics, marketing, communication, or a related field.
