We are searching for a talented Freelance Localization Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. As a senior-level professional, you will help us bridge cultural gaps and connect with our global audience by adapting our products and content for KAYAK and OpenTable. We operate as the world’s leading travel search engine and a major player in the dining industry, helping millions of people discover and book travel and restaurant experiences. This is a remote role, and we will reach out to you whenever a project aligns with your specific language expertise and background.

Responsibilities

Translate, edit, and review a variety of assets, including marketing campaigns, SEO content, newsletters, and social media posts, to ensure they resonate with your target market.
Maintain high standards of quality by following our specific style guides and managing language resources like glossaries.
Perform linguistic quality assurance and functionality checks to ensure our products provide a seamless experience for local users.

Requirements

You must be a native speaker of your target language with an excellent command of English.
We require proven experience in app and website localization, including familiarity with Translation Management Systems.
A strong background in copywriting, SEO, and linguistic quality assurance is essential.
You should hold a relevant academic or professional degree in fields such as linguistics, marketing, translation, or communication.
We are looking for a forward-thinking multitasker who is comfortable adapting to new technologies and managing complex workflows.
