The role
We are looking for a Senior Fraud Analyst to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-impact position where you will take ownership of our fraud investigation and mitigation processes. You will work from anywhere to help us build a more secure environment, directly influencing the product experience for our global user base.
Core responsibilities
- Monitor our platform for suspicious activity and emerging threats using our specialized suite of fraud detection tools.
- Analyze massive datasets to uncover anomalies, identify risk patterns, and conduct deep-dive investigations into potential abuse.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with our product, engineering, and customer care teams to design and implement automated solutions that prevent fraud before it impacts our users.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in data analysis and a passion for protecting users. We value candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Elastic Search.
- Experience working with data lakes and database technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, and Splunk.
- A solid foundation in probability and statistics to help drive our data-informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, allowing you to explain complex fraud trends to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A self-starting mindset with the ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, customer-first approach.
- Preferred: Prior experience in the telecommunications industry, specifically with calling and messaging platforms, as well as proficiency in scripting languages like Python.
