Are you ready to jump into the world of high-performance semiconductor technology and make a real impact on cutting-edge hardware solutions? At Achronix Semiconductor Corporation, we pride ourselves on being the only supplier that offers both high-density standalone FPGAs and embedded FPGA solutions in high-volume production. Based in Santa Clara, California, we support our advanced products with top-tier EDA software tools that power AI, networking, and data center applications. We are looking for a talented student to join our team and help us push the boundaries of what is possible in digital design.
What you bring
As an FPGA Software Engineer Intern, you will work directly with our research and development team to enhance our ACE software tool chain. This internship is an on-site role located in the United States, where you will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, agile environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining robust software solutions for placement, routing, and timing optimization of our Speedster and Speedcore FPGA products.
- Applying your knowledge of algorithms and data structures to improve runtime and memory efficiency within our software applications.
- Collaborating with experienced engineers to troubleshoot complex issues and implement novel approaches to software engineering challenges.
Requirements
We are looking for a student currently in their junior or senior year pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field at a top research university. You should have strong C++ programming skills and a deep understanding of software data structures. We value candidates who possess analytical rigor and the ability to navigate large code bases effectively. While not strictly required, familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Shell Scripting is highly beneficial. You should also be comfortable working within Linux and Microsoft Windows environments and have a solid grasp of Digital Design concepts. Proficiency in English is required for this role.
What we offer
We believe in rewarding our interns for their contributions and expertise. The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $80,000, or $30 to $40 per hour, depending on your specific experience and location.
How to Apply
If you are passionate about software engineering and eager to contribute to the future of FPGA technology, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to join our team, and let us know how your background and skills align with our mission to innovate at the hardware level.
