Camlin Group is looking for a FPGA Firmware Engineer
We are Camlin Technologies, and we are looking for a Senior FPGA Firmware Engineer to join our market-leading design team at our office in Bologna, Italy. You will work within a growing development group, balancing the need for close collaboration with the ability to manage your own tasks independently.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and deliver digital communication systems.
- Develop VHDL for FPGAs while following established TRL procedures.
- Create high-quality design documentation to support your work.
- Build test harnesses, including self-checking testbenches and BFMs, to verify your developments.
- Integrate firmware onto target hardware alongside other system components and software.
- Manage the release of items according to our configuration control standards.
- Communicate progress and technical updates to project managers.
- Provide accurate schedule estimates and identify potential technical risks.
- Participate in peer design reviews and assist with requirements capture.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety legislation, and ethical codes of conduct.
Must-haves
- Proven experience in FPGA design and firmware development.
- Strong expertise in digital communication systems.
- Proficiency in VHDL programming.
- Ability to work effectively in a full-time, on-site environment.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience working within a professional engineering team.
