We are currently looking for a talented FPGA Design Engineer II to join our team and help us push the boundaries of what is possible in capital markets infrastructure.
About the Role
This is a full-time position for a mid-level FPGA Design Engineer II. In this role, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, focusing on the development and optimization of high-performance systems that drive our trading platforms. You will work directly on-site to ensure our infrastructure remains at the forefront of the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance FPGA networking and compute systems tailored for electronic trading environments.
- Manage the full RTL design lifecycle, starting from initial specifications and coding through to synthesis and final FPGA implementation.
- Collaborate closely with our design verification team to create, review, and execute thorough test plans to ensure system reliability.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in digital logic design for ASICs or FPGAs.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog or VHDL, along with a solid grasp of digital design concepts and computer architecture.
- The ability to work effectively within a Linux environment.
- Strong capabilities in debugging, problem-solving, and professional communication.
- Bonus points for experience with Xilinx or Altera FPGAs, networking protocols like TCP/IP, high-speed interfaces such as PCIe or Ethernet, and scripting in Python or Perl.
Location
This role is based on-site at our office in Needham, MA. You will be expected to work from the office five days per week.
