Founding Full Stack Engineer at Seal

At Seal, we are creating a peer-to-peer prediction protocol that allows friends to bet against one another rather than a faceless house. Our goal is to provide a decentralized, transparent, and user-centric betting platform that eliminates geographic barriers, unfair odds, and delayed payouts. Our team is composed of repeat founders with backgrounds at Y Combinator, Facebook, Brave, and MIT, and we are united by a mission to foster a fair and competitive environment for all users. We are currently looking for a Founding Full Stack Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis.

Key outcomes

• Architect, deploy, and maintain the core infrastructure that powers our product offerings.
• Develop high-quality, well-tested code while maintaining a rigorous standard for peer code reviews.
• Work closely with our design and product teams to create exceptional user experiences.
• Take ownership of product improvements from the initial concept through to final execution.
• Contribute to the broader ecosystem by authoring or participating in Ethereum Improvement Proposals.

Requirements

• You are based in the United States.
• You have at least two years of engineering experience within a fast-paced startup environment.
• You possess a proven track record of shipping significant full-stack products from inception to launch.
• You are proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, Solidity, Go, and Rust.
• You are a Web3 native who maintains a deep sense of curiosity.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, and orchestration using AWS tools such as Docker, ECS, CDK, and DynamoDB.
• Extensive knowledge of the EVM and general Ethereum infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience writing smart contracts.
