Founding Engineer at Prosper Health

Prosper Health is on a mission to transform the lives of the 8 million autistic adults in the United States. While autism prevalence has surged over the last 25 years, the traditional support system has largely left this community behind, leading to significant gaps in mental health and social outcomes. We are changing that by building a comprehensive, insurance-covered telehealth platform. In just 18 months, we have scaled to millions in annualized revenue, supporting over 1,000 active clients with a team of nearly 100 clinicians. We are looking for a builder who wants to make a tangible difference.

Role at a glance

We are seeking a Senior Founding Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As the second engineer at our company, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical foundation. This is a hybrid position based in the United States, with a preference for candidates who can work from our Flatiron office in NYC.

Your impact

• Build and maintain robust clinician tooling that allows our providers to deliver data-driven, high-quality care.
• Design a seamless patient intake experience that prioritizes efficiency and user autonomy.
• Develop systems for transparent pricing, including automatic cost estimates to eliminate surprise billing for our patients.

What you'll need

• At least 4 years of professional software development experience, ideally within a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong proficiency with our tech stack, including TypeScript, Node.js, Fastify, React, tRPC, and Prisma.
• A self-directed, scrappy mindset with the ability to thrive in an early-stage environment where you are one of the first technical hires.
• Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to solving complex healthcare challenges.
• Fluency in English.
• Familiarity with or interest in React Native and Expo as we expand our mobile capabilities.
