Founding Engineer at Thera

What you bring

As a Senior Founding Engineer working on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States, you will be a key player in our technical growth. You will use your expertise in TypeScript, Java, and Kotlin to architect and scale the systems that power our global money movement. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and building new products across our entire ecosystem, including our Spend, Docs, Cash, and Accounting platforms.
• Collaborating directly with our CEO to ship features quickly and own significant portions of our product.
• Establishing our engineering culture from the ground up while maintaining high standards for our core systems.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced engineer who has spent three to seven or more years building and shipping production systems. You should be comfortable taking features from an initial idea to a finished product, and you should thrive in environments where you have to navigate ambiguity. We value candidates who have a bias toward action and a preference for simple, effective solutions. Proficiency in English is required, and we have a strong preference for those with specific experience in TypeScript, Java, and Kotlin.
