Founding Engineer at Pluto

By creating developer-friendly tools that allow for the embedding of web-using agents into applications, we are helping a new generation of builders remix the digital landscape. Our team brings together expertise from industry leaders like Stripe, Uber, and Lockheed Martin, and we are now looking for a talented individual to help us scale our vision.

What is this role?

We are searching for a Senior Founding Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. Because we operate as a remote-first company, you can work from anywhere. This is a high-impact position where you will be responsible for laying the technical foundation of our systems. You will have significant autonomy to shape our architecture, engineering culture, and product roadmap from the very beginning.

What will you do?

• Design and manage scalable infrastructure on GCP while building internal tools that boost our overall developer productivity.
• Take full ownership of our CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and system observability to ensure our services remain reliable.
• Write high-quality production code using Go and Rust while collaborating with the rest of our engineering team to support our multi-language stack.

What makes you a great fit?

You should have at least 4 years of experience in software engineering, specifically within infrastructure or platform roles. We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking projects from an initial idea all the way to production. You should be proficient in Go or Rust and have a deep understanding of GCP and DevOps principles, including security and monitoring. A strong command of English is required for clear communication within our team. We are particularly interested in candidates who are excited about cryptography, distributed systems, and LLM-based automation.
