Founding Engineer – Full Stack at Shadow

At Ventuals, we are opening up the $13 trillion private equity asset class by building onchain markets that allow everyday investors to trade shares of top startups like OpenAI, SpaceX, and Stripe. We are currently operating on Hyperliquid and have seen significant traction since our launch, reaching over 10,000 weekly active traders and processing more than one million trades without any marketing spend. Our team is backed by industry leaders including Paradigm, Coinbase Ventures, and the Ethereum Foundation. We are looking for a Senior Founding Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis to help us prepare for our mainnet launch.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy user-facing features using TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Architect and maintain robust backend services that manage our exchange operations, including market data, trading logic, indexing, and system monitoring.
• Collaborate directly with our founders to define our product roadmap and technical strategy as we scale our infrastructure.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior or Staff-level individual contributor with a proven track record of building complex, user-facing technical products.
• A high-agency mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
• A pragmatic approach to software development, balancing the need for clean, maintainable code with the speed required for early-stage growth.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• A deep sense of ownership and the intellectual curiosity to master new technical domains quickly.
