We are NegotiateAI, a portfolio company backed by Menlo Ventures. Our mission is to revolutionize the procurement industry by transforming it into a core strategic function for manufacturing and industrial organizations. By leveraging advanced technologies like agentic AI, LLMs, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation, we are building a platform that helps enterprises streamline their indirect spend and achieve significant operational efficiency. We are looking for a Founding Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis to help us build this transformative solution from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build the foundational infrastructure for our procurement platform, ensuring seamless integration with ERP systems and spend analytics tools.
- Develop and implement sophisticated AI pipelines using RAG and LLMs to process large-scale procurement data and generate actionable insights.
- Create intelligent agents capable of automating supplier benchmarking, data triangulation, and negotiation processes to drive measurable value for our enterprise clients.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience in full-stack engineering, with a demonstrated ability to operate at a senior level.
- Proven experience building products from the ground up in early-stage startup environments.
- Deep technical proficiency with our core stack, including Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Node.js, and Langsmith.
- A strong background or familiarity with Data Science, particularly in parsing and working with large, complex datasets.
- Experience working with modern AI technologies such as Agentic AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
What we offer
We provide a competitive base salary ranging from $130,000 to $180,000, depending on your specific experience and equity preferences. In addition to salary, we offer the following benefits:
