About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical partner for our key accounts, taking ownership of the hands-on deployment of our platform. You will work autonomously to ensure successful implementations while collaborating closely with customers to iterate on our core product and drive meaningful improvements that help them reach their technical goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical deployment and implementation of Speakeasy solutions within major customer accounts.
- Act as a bridge between customer needs and our product roadmap, using your direct experience to influence future features and documentation.
- Manage multiple customer relationships simultaneously, balancing competing priorities to ensure high-impact outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should bring a strong technical background and a passion for solving complex API challenges. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience in back-end and API engineering, typically spanning 6 to 8 years.
- A background as a technical founder, solutions engineer, or founding engineer.
- Proficiency in Go and TypeScript.
- Strong customer empathy, with the ability to pragmatically align customer objectives with our platform capabilities.
- A high degree of autonomy and ownership, with a proven ability to learn quickly and identify high-leverage opportunities.
Location
This position is based in the United States. We operate on a hybrid model, and you will be expected to work from our office in the SF Bay Area three days per week.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 to $220,000 per year, supplemented by equity compensation. In addition to your salary, you will have access to the following benefits:
