About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Data Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. In this position, you will serve as a vital link between our customers and our technology. You will work alongside our onboarding managers to configure our platform for unique retail requirements, helping our clients reduce out-of-stocks and improve overall efficiency. As a founding member of this team, you will have the opportunity to define our processes, playbooks, and integration systems from the ground up as we scale to thousands of stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Master the end-to-end VoriOS system and understand the interdependencies between our platform and various integration components.
• Collaborate directly with customers to identify their specific needs and define the necessary system configurations.
• Manage data mappings and reconciliation processes while working closely with our operations, product, and engineering teams to refine our workflows.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role within B2B SaaS or fintech.
• A hybrid skillset that combines strong backend and data engineering fundamentals with the ability to communicate effectively with customer IT teams.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, unstructured data, and ML or OCR pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL, Regex, and scripting, along with a genuine eagerness to learn new technologies.
• A high level of customer empathy and the ability to troubleshoot complex, high-pressure environments.
• A strong sense of autonomy and the ability to manage data extraction, ingestion, and pipeline tuning independently.
