About the Role
We are seeking a Football Data Specialist to join us in a full-time capacity. This role is perfect for a motivated individual with a deep understanding of football who wants to contribute to our advanced analytics efforts. You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and marking a wide range of football actions using our proprietary in-house systems, working closely with various teams across the organization to ensure our data remains top-tier.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and fix errors related to play-by-play sequencing to ensure data accuracy.
- Provide essential support for machine learning initiatives by assisting with new and existing football markings.
- Perform detailed analysis of live, on-the-pitch video footage.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in football and a sharp eye for detail. We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience playing or coaching football at a competitive, amateur, or semi-professional level.
- A solid grasp of football terminology, markings, and play-by-play sequencing.
- A strong understanding of the current and historical landscape of major professional football leagues.
- Proven ability to handle data manipulation with high levels of speed and accuracy.
- The ability to manage your own workload, prioritize tasks effectively, and contribute to group discussions.
- A willingness to handle repetitive tasks and a strong desire to learn new skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to align with professional football league schedules.
