Very Good Ventures is a global consultancy recognized as a leader in Flutter development. We specialize in creating high-performance digital products for influential brands, helping them navigate new digital frontiers. We are currently seeking a Senior Flutter Engineer to join our team on a contractor basis. This is an on-site position based in Plano, Texas, for a project duration of six months, running from November 2024 through March 2025. You will work alongside a talented team of engineers, designers, and product managers to build exceptional mobile applications, with the potential for future full-time opportunities based on project needs and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality, testable code for complex mobile applications while ensuring pixel-perfect user interfaces and smooth custom animations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design and product management, to deliver innovative solutions that meet the specific needs of our flagship clients.
- Provide detailed status updates on your progress, participate in effective code reviews, and proactively communicate to resolve technical blockers.
Requirements
- A university degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in object-oriented software development and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience building and releasing Flutter applications.
- Strong technical expertise in advanced concepts such as dependency injection, end-to-end testing, software architecture, modularization, database design, and REST APIs.
- Proficiency with essential development tools, including Git, command-line interfaces, UNIX commands, and your preferred IDE.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a proven ability to work effectively within agile environments.
