Flight Software Lead at Apex

We are looking for a Flight Software Lead to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis to help us provide humanity with greater access to the galaxy.

Responsibilities

• Direct the flight software team by designing, implementing, and maintaining mission-critical software applications for our satellite systems.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of our spacecraft software solutions, taking ownership from the initial design phase through to final deployment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to your team while balancing long-term strategic planning with hands-on development work.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in engineering and a passion for aerospace technology. We require the following qualifications:

• U.S. Person status, which is necessary for accessing export-controlled data.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in flight software development.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership or senior technical capacity.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and Rust, along with practical experience working with real-time systems on distributed hardware.
