About the Role

We are looking for a Flight Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for automating the operation of complex aircraft systems. You will work closely with our flight software teams to develop and certify our autonomy stack, playing a vital part in bringing our aircraft to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop highly deterministic C++ software in a bare metal environment, ensuring seamless integration with sensors, control systems, and other vehicle subsystems.
• Establish clear requirements and implement rigorous unit testing to ensure robust fault handling.
• Engage directly with flight hardware in the lab and on the aircraft, helping to plan flight tests and seeing your code in action.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• A B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent level of professional experience.
• At least 2 years of professional programming experience using C or C++.
• Proven experience developing software for high-performance embedded or safety-critical applications.
• A strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking is highly valued.
• Experience with aerospace applications and advanced C++ language features in production environments is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $113,000 to $191,000 per year. In addition to your base salary, we offer a comprehensive package that includes:
