We are dedicated to creating life-saving technology that makes aviation safer and more efficient. Our team is composed of engineers with deep backgrounds in robotics, aerospace, and self-driving vehicles, all working toward a future where automated systems transform how goods and people travel. As a member of our team, you will help us build the autonomy stack that brings our aircraft to life.
What you'll be doing
- Develop highly deterministic C++ software in a bare metal environment, focusing on sensor integration, control systems, and robust fault handling.
- Take ownership of requirements and implement rigorous unit tests to ensure the highest standards of software quality.
- Work hands-on with flight hardware in both the lab and on the aircraft, where you will plan flight tests and see your code in action.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for safety-critical systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent level of professional experience.
- At least 2 years of professional programming experience using C or C++.
- Proven experience developing software for high-performance embedded systems or safety-critical applications.
- A solid grasp of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working in a self-directed manner.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Bonus points if you have experience with advanced C++ language features or previous work in the aerospace industry.
What you'll get
We offer a competitive annual salary range of $113,000 to $191,000, reflecting our commitment to rewarding your expertise and experience. In addition to your base pay, you will receive:
- Stock options to ensure you share in our long-term success.
- A 401k retirement plan contribution.
- A collaborative, casual work environment with talented colleagues.
