FIX Onboarding and Support Engineer at Clear Street

We built a proprietary, cloud-native clearing and custody system from the ground up to handle the complexities of today’s global financial landscape. By merging expert engineering talent with seasoned finance professionals, we are creating a single source of truth for every asset class and currency. We are looking for a Senior FIX Onboarding and Support Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom on a full-time, hybrid basis.

What you'll be doing

• You will provide high-touch support to our sales and trading desks, managing FIX onboarding across all asset classes for our institutional clients.
• You will maintain and configure trading platforms across production and UAT environments, ensuring seamless connectivity for high and low-touch trading, algorithmic strategies, and middle-office bookings.
• You will champion automation by developing scripts and SQL solutions, while performing deep-dive root cause analysis on application logs, network issues, and codebases to resolve complex technical challenges.

What you'll bring

• At least five years of professional experience in a high-pressure environment, specifically within front-office application support.
• Deep expertise in financial data transfer protocols like FIX and native protocols, along with practical experience supporting vendor platforms such as Fidessa, UL, or TT.
• Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language, including Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Shell.
• Advanced capability in working with relational and non-relational databases to query and explore data.
• A solid understanding of Equities, Futures, Commodities, and FX asset classes, with bonus points for knowledge of execution feeds and market data handlers.
• Fluency in English to effectively liaise with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
