Chef Robotics is on a mission to bring intelligent machines into the physical world. While AI has made incredible strides in the digital space, we believe its most significant impact will be in industries like food, manufacturing, and transportation, which account for the vast majority of global GDP. We are starting with the food industry, with the goal of placing an intelligent robot in every commercial kitchen across the globe. Backed by investors like Kleiner Perkins, Construct, Bloomberg BETA, and Promus Ventures, we have built a team of talented engineers from industry-leading companies like Tesla, Google, and Cruise. As we move out of stealth mode, we are looking for a visionary leader to help us define our brand and share our story with the world.
The role
We are seeking a First Marketing Manager to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis at our headquarters in San Francisco. This is a senior-level, individual contributor role that requires a versatile mindset. You will work directly with our CEO to lead our public launch and establish Chef as the dominant brand in robotics and embodied AI. Because you will be our first dedicated marketing hire, you should be comfortable wearing many hats and taking ownership of our marketing strategy from the ground up.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and lead our brand strategy to build high awareness among venture capitalists, potential customers, and top-tier engineering talent.
- Manage our public relations efforts, including securing features in popular press and trade publications, while leading our content marketing, social media, and webinar strategies.
- Execute hands-on marketing operations, including maintaining our website via Webflow, designing assets in Figma, producing video case studies, and managing our presence at trade shows.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a blend of creative storytelling and analytical rigor. We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- At least 5 years of product marketing experience within a B2B, SaaS, or Robotics organization, including a proven track record of launching products.
- Strong technical proficiency with Webflow, Figma, and basic tools for photography, videography, and content editing.
- Excellent copywriting skills with a focus on articulating product value to diverse audiences.
- Experience managing PR campaigns, trade show logistics, and sales enablement content.
- A resilient, entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where you must navigate rejection and ambiguity.
- Fluency in English and the ability to work 100% on-site in San Francisco.
Bonus: Previous experience in industrial robotics, supply chain, or material handling is a plus.
