First Marketing Manager at Chef Robotics

At Chef, we have spent our time operating in stealth mode, focusing our energy on engineering and customer operations. We are now standing on the precipice of our first public release, and our mission is to accelerate the arrival of intelligent machines in our world. We aim to establish Chef as the dominant brand in the fields of robotics, food manipulation, and Embodied AI. To help us tell our story and reach the right audiences, we are looking for our very first marketing leader to join us at our headquarters in San Francisco.

The opportunity

This is a foundational role where you will work directly alongside our CEO to define our voice and market presence. As our first marketing hire, you will act as a generalist who is comfortable wearing many hats, from high-level strategy to hands-on execution. You will be responsible for building our brand identity from the ground up, ensuring that we resonate with top-tier engineers, the venture capital community, and our future customers. While you will start as an individual contributor, this position offers a clear path for growth as we expand our marketing team and scale our operations.

A day in the life

• You will craft and execute our public release strategy, securing coverage in both popular press and specialized food and beverage trade journals to build significant brand awareness.
• You will manage our digital and physical presence, which includes updating our website via Webflow, designing wireframes in Figma, and leading our end-to-end strategy for trade shows and webinars.
• You will produce high-quality multimedia content, including writing compelling case studies and traveling to customer sites to capture videography and photography that highlights the impact of our technology.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of product marketing experience within the robotics, RaaS, SaaS, or B2B sectors. You have successfully navigated a product launch before and understand the unique challenges of a fast-paced startup environment. You possess a gritty, resilient mindset that keeps you moving forward even when facing rejection, and you are a gifted communicator who can translate complex technical value into clear, persuasive copy. Your toolkit includes proficiency in Webflow, Figma, and marketing automation platforms, and you have a solid grasp of basic video and photo editing. You are fluent in English, and you thrive in an on-site environment where you can collaborate closely with the rest of our team.
