Firmware/Software Engineer at Framework

What you bring

We are seeking a Senior Firmware/Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Taiwan, you will work in a hybrid capacity, collaborating with our local office in Xinyi District and coordinating with our headquarters in San Francisco. Your work will be central to our commitment to open, transparent, and highly configurable technology. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Managing the end to end development and release cycles for BIOS, EC, and driver software updates.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for technical issues reported by customers and partners, ensuring they are tracked and resolved efficiently.
• Collaborating with internal and external validation labs to reproduce complex issues and establish reliable testing procedures.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in firmware development and software engineering for electronics. We look for candidates who hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or have equivalent professional experience. You must be comfortable managing projects from start to finish and possess the ability to communicate effectively with external engineering teams and ODM partners. Strong English proficiency is required, as you will frequently collaborate across different time zones.
