The role

We are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team in Bangalore on a full-time, on-site basis. You will play a pivotal role in our hardware ecosystem, focusing on the development and maintenance of firmware for our smart speakers, DQR devices, and printers. We are seeking a candidate with 5 to 7 years of experience who is eager to solve complex challenges at the intersection of hardware and software.

Core responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test high-performance firmware solutions to ensure reliability and seamless compatibility across our smart speaker and IoT device portfolio.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers to define technical requirements and specifications for new device integrations.
• Optimize firmware code and system algorithms to maximize resource efficiency and enhance the overall performance of our payment-domain IoT devices.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in embedded systems and consumer electronics. We require the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in C, C++, and Java, along with proficiency in firmware development tools, compilers, and debuggers.
• Deep understanding of hardware-software integration, microcontrollers, peripheral interfaces, and wireless communication protocols.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to document complex firmware designs and development processes effectively.
