Our team builds the connectivity solutions that power the world’s most demanding data-driven applications. By integrating PCIe, CXL, and Ethernet semiconductor technologies with our COSMOS software suite, we create flexible, scalable, and software-defined architectures. We pride ourselves on the deep, trusted relationships we have built with hyperscalers and the broader data center ecosystem, and we are looking for passionate engineers to help us continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible in modern computing.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team in Canada. In this role, you will be a key architect behind the firmware that enables our cutting-edge DDR, CXL, and PCIe solutions. Because our firmware is central to the performance and differentiation of our products, you will work closely with our hardware teams and engage directly with customers to ensure our technology meets their most critical needs. This is a full-time, on-site position where your work will directly influence the future of our product roadmap.
A day in the life
- You will design and develop robust firmware for next-generation connectivity products, focusing on DDR and CXL/PCIe technologies.
- You will collaborate with internal hardware teams and external memory vendors to perform post-silicon bring-up, system characterization, and performance tuning.
- You will maintain high code quality through rigorous unit testing, participation in code reviews, and the use of modern developer workflows like Git and CI.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer who thrives in embedded environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges with minimal supervision. You possess a professional mindset and a proven ability to manage your own tasks effectively. To be successful in this role, you should bring the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience developing firmware using C and C++.
- Deep expertise in DDR controller features, including Memory RAS for DDR4, DDR5, or HBM.
- Strong familiarity with software build environments, specifically Make and GCC.
- A solid grasp of version control systems like Git and experience with collaborative code review processes.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
