About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our engineering department, focusing on the development of real-time applications for our embedded electronic control units. You will be involved in the full product development lifecycle, helping us build the next generation of our hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with your teammates to bring up electronic control units on our prototype vehicles.
• Develop safety-critical firmware and establish rigorous testing procedures to ensure software and system validation.
• Integrate third-party software modules into our systems while maintaining high standards for documentation and development using tools like Git and ClickUp.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should bring the following qualifications and skills:

• At least 6 years of industry experience with a proven track record of shipping products.
• A BS or MS degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• High proficiency in embedded C/C++ with a focus on high-reliability code for real-time systems.
• Strong experience with embedded communication protocols such as I2C, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, and USART.
• The ability to debug on target hardware using tools like JTAG and optimize code for systems with limited memory and processing power.
• A solid understanding of bootup sequences and firmware update processes.
• The physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform occasional tasks involving bending or climbing.

Location

This position is based in the United States and requires a consistent, on-site presence.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $140,000 - $220,000. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer the following benefits:
