We are looking for a senior-level Firmware Embedded Engineer to join our team on a remote contractor basis and help us continue building smarter, more responsive environments.
What you'll be doing
- You will design, optimize, and maintain embedded Linux gateway systems, which includes building custom OS images and integrating kernel modules and device drivers.
- You will manage robust connectivity and networking stacks, ensuring secure communication through protocols like MQTT, HTTP, and HTTPS while maintaining high uptime.
- You will develop system software and middleware to handle data acquisition, edge ML model integration, and secure over-the-air firmware updates.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience and a strong technical foundation in the following areas:
- Expertise in C, C++, and Python within embedded Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with Yocto, Board Support Packages, and networking stacks.
- Familiarity with secure boot processes, OTA update mechanisms, and cloud-IoT integration.
- Proficiency in English to collaborate effectively with our cross-functional teams.
What you'll get
