The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Firewall Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis here in the United States. This role is essential to our mission of maintaining a secure network, as you will be the primary expert responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and configuration of our firewall systems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our security posture remains ahead of potential threats while supporting the connectivity needs of our broader organization.

A day in the life

• You will manage the full lifecycle of our firewall infrastructure, which includes performing routine maintenance, executing necessary configuration changes, and leading the implementation of new firewall solutions.
• You will act as a key technical resource for troubleshooting network connectivity issues, ensuring that security protocols work in harmony with our routing requirements.
• You will document your progress through our internal ticketing and change management systems, ensuring that every project and request is tracked, resolved, and communicated clearly to our stakeholders.

Who you are

You are a networking expert with a deep background in security who thrives in fast-paced environments. To be successful in this role, you should bring the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree paired with at least 3 to 4 years of direct operational experience in firewall administration.
• At least 4 years of comprehensive experience in networking and firewall management, specifically including expert knowledge of TCP/IP routing protocols.
• Technical mastery of industry-leading platforms, including Cisco ASA and Firepower, NSX, and Palo Alto systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead work teams, translate complex business needs into effective technical solutions, and communicate clearly in English.
• A proactive mindset that allows you to work effectively under minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of quality and organization.
