Financial Data Reporting Specialist at Employee Referrals

As a Financial Data Reporting Specialist, you will play a vital role in our data ecosystem. You will collaborate with our BI developers and finance teams to ensure our reporting is accurate, efficient, and scalable. Reporting directly to our Data Modelling and Reporting Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to influence our data architecture while gaining deep insight into how we navigate complex financial environments across multiple international markets.

What you'll be doing

• You will partner with our finance teams to maintain current models and build new ones for areas like Management Accounts, Regulatory Reporting, and audit requirements.
• You will translate complex financial data needs into clear functional requirements, helping our BI developers automate processes within our foundational data layers.
• You will contribute your expertise to our data architecture, ensuring our analytical models are optimized for high-performance financial reporting.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in finance and data. We are looking for the following qualifications and skills:

• A BCom Accounting Sciences degree or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in a finance or data-focused role, specifically with exposure to IFRS9, FCTR, hyperinflation, and financial modelling.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong experience with Power BI, including data ingestion, modelling, cleansing, and DAX expressions.
• Experience writing SQL queries is considered a significant advantage.
• Fluency in English to facilitate clear communication across our global teams.
• Bonus points if you have worked within a data warehouse environment or utilized specialized financial modelling software.
