At OTI Lumionics, we are pushing the boundaries of material science by using quantum simulations, machine learning, and real-world pilot production to create advanced materials for the next generation of OLED displays. Our work supports the development of transparent displays and lighting for consumer electronics and automotive partners. We rely on our proprietary Materials Discovery Platform to iterate quickly and deliver mass-production-ready solutions. We are looking for a dedicated Facility Technician to join our team in Canada and help us maintain the high standards of our production environment.
What you'll be doing
- You will manage the upkeep and maintenance of all facility systems and production equipment to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
- You will diagnose, repair, and install equipment, which includes setting up gas lines, compressed air, and electrical power cables, as well as designing mechanical structures to support new installations.
- You will maintain a safe and organized workspace by overseeing facility housekeeping, managing storage, and ensuring all work strictly adheres to health, safety, and environmental protocols.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should have a background in Engineering or Science, along with two to three years of relevant industry experience. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working on-site and can adapt to a flexible schedule that may include morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
Your toolkit should include:
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Office for documentation and general computer tasks.
- Practical experience with welding, electrical systems, or machine shop operations.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- A proactive, energetic, and flexible approach to troubleshooting and facility management.
Bonus points if you have experience with high vacuum technology or working within a cleanroom environment.
